Education & Leadership
So much of what we learn has to do with the opportunities we're given. At the Y, we want young people to explore their possibilities and think big!
Home School Gym & Swim
Kids learn fitness, movement and sports skills through games, activities and fun! As a solid home school physical education program, we focus on helping children develop strong muscles, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. But more importantly, it's FUN!

Model General Assembly
The MGA program introduces high school students to Virginia’s legislative process. Selected students represent their schools as executive officers, senators, delegates, legislative officers, pages, reporters and lobbyists while debating legislation in committees and on the floors of the House of Delegates and the Senate of Virginia. While introducing future leaders to Virginia’s system of government, this program also conveys the importance of citizen participation and public service. MGA culminates in Richmond,VA, when students get to sit in the seats as our real senators and delegates do and work to pass bills.

Training and Leadership
Leader Clubs help develop youth ages 12 to 18 as leaders while fostering a culture of service. With adult advisors, teens have role models and mentors who can have a positive impact on their lives as they grow in their desire and ability to be a positive force in the community.
