Job Description Summary                                                      
Applicant is responsible for the safety of swimmers and for the enforcement of all pool rules and regulations.  Maintains a safe and fun environment and perform general maintenance tasks.  Applicant must be at least 15 years old, have and maintain current Lifeguard certification and CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.

Job Description Summary

The YMCA Magic Place is seeking experienced caregivers to work in our off-site afterschool programs in either, Roanoke City, Salem City or Botetourt County Schools. The position requires an Associate’s Degree in education or equivalent certification, with a minimum of two years’ experience in a group setting with school age children. This position also requires experience in staff supervision, curriculum implementation, classroom management and parental communication

Job Description Summar:

The Salem Family YMCA is looking for fun, active and energetic swim instructors to join our dynamic staff.  We are seeking instructors who   work effectively with children and adults in a learning situation based on individual needs. Instructors will teach classes in accordance with the YMCA policies including covering all class components, using proper teaching techniques, ensuring safety of all swimmers, and having   fun. Water experience and certification strongly preferred. Candidates must be available to work during the daytime on week days and on
Saturdays.

Job Description Summary

The Salem Family YMCA is looking for assistant swim coaches for the YRVS Sea Lions Swim Team. We are seeking a professional who has swim team and prior swim lesson/coaching experience. This person will lead their own group of beginner level swimmers as well as assist the head coach with upper level groups. The applicant should be good with kids, confident on deck, and willing to learn and work with the Head Coach. Dry land or personal training experience also preferred as the applicant may need to lead dry land exercises occasionally.
