Construction Update:
Week 2 - July 19 - 23
Continue site excavation
Monday - Delivery and unloading of temporary construction fencing.
Tuesday - Installation of fencing along Fifth and Church.
Fifth Avenue Sidewalks will be closed between Church and Luck Avenue and partially on Church for the duration of the project.
Three street parking spaces, along the installed fencing on Church Avenue, will not be available for the duration of the project. No Parking signs have been installed.
Thursday - Delivery of reinforced steel on Luck Avenue.

Monday-Friday 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Directions
The Kirk Family YMCA is at the intersection of Church Avenue and 5th Street. From I-581, take the Elm Avenue exit and head west on Elm Avenue to Fifth Street. Turn right on Fifth Street and look for the YMCA ahead on your left. The Kirk Family YMCA is the closest full-service branch to Roanoke Regional Airport.

Age Policy
A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 13. A sibling age 16 or older may act as guardian at the facility for their brother or sister, with written permission from the parent.
Child Watch provides supervision and activities for children, infants to age 6, of YMCA members. This service is so members can participate in other activities. Our Child Watch providers promote caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in a safe, friendly environment.
Child Watch Hours of Operation:
- M-F: 8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Closed 1:00-3:00 Open 3:00-8:00 pm
- Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00p.m.
- Sunday: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Family Policy:
Household Membership- Effective September 1st 2008: Any two adult persons living together in the same household, and their children age 19 and under, can join as one membership unit. Children up to age 24 may be on the household membership only if they are a full time college student. Proof of college schedule must be provided (12 or more credit hours required). Dependents drop from family membership after they no longer meet the definition of a dependent. Additional adults in the household may be added for an additional $25.00 fee per adult. Limit of 4 adults per household. Picture ID with proof of address must be provided.
Senior Membership: Anyone who is 62 years or older qualifies for a 50 percent discount on the joining fee.
Full-time college student: A student must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester and provide proof of enrollment to qualify for this special rate.
Payment Method
Monthly Bank Draft is available through regular withdrawals from your checking, savings, VISA or MasterCard account.
Guest Policy
The YMCA is a membership organization. To best serve our members, our guest policy is:
- Adults $15 daily
- Children (12 & under) $8 daily
- Family $25 daily

Local residents may be a guest of our facility only one time per calendar year.
Teen Center
Teen Centers at Kirk Family YMCA and Salem Family YMCA are available to all teenagers who are current members of the YMCA of Roanoke Valley. The centers provide a hangout spot and will host motivational speakers, YMCA teen programming and activities and much more. All students ages 13-17 are encouraged to take part in programs and activities of the center through a YMCA family membership or the teen individual membership. Teen Center Features:
